Message from the Board Chair 

West Lincoln Memorial Hospital is a model small-community hospital in this Province.  The Hospital plays an important role in providing high quality, efficient health care in its service area, which stretches from the borders of greater Hamilton into the Niagara Region, including the communities of Smithville through Grimsby and Beamsville. Our location on a key, high traffic portion of the QEW means we get steady need for our ER services. WLMH
also relieve pressure from the larger hospitals in both St. Catharines and in Hamilton by bringing post-operation patients "back home" to rest and recuperate. 

There are many things that contribute to the fine reputation that this Hospital has earned through the years. We have a caring and remarkable medical, nursing and hospital staff. Both our multi-disciplinary obstetrics and our palliative care programs are recognized as exceptional models of care. As an independent hospital, we have many integrated services with Hamilton Health Sciences and are able to provide a full range of services and programs to meet the health care needs of our communities. And in these challenging times of shrinking health care dollars, WLMH operates as one of the three most efficient hospitals in Ontario. 

I am very pleased to be serving as Chair of a Hospital Board that is comprised of so many dedicated, community-minded volunteers. We are committed to the Hospital's mission of maintaining "a caring team partnering with our Communities to provide quality healthcare close to home." We will continue to work to safeguard our Hospital's role in ensuring our communities are provided the highest standard of health care services now and into the future.
