Visiting Hours

General visiting hours are from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, seven days a week. Under special circumstances visiting hours may be altered. We ask that you limit visitors to two in the room at any one time.

Visiting in the Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Department may be restricted at the discretion of the nursing staff.  There is no visiting in the ICU between the hours of 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily.

We ask that you show respect for the privacy of all patients by complying with our visiting hours. Please do not visit if you have an infectious disease including colds or flu.

 

Visitor Guidelines and Philosophy
For the well being of our patients, please follow these guidelines.

WLMH recognizes that family members and significant others contribute to positive patient experience and positive outcomes. We know that visitors are important to our patients but we must all do our part to keep the hospital safe by preventing the spread of infectious disease.

Therefore we ask that only significant family members and friends of our patients visit them while they are in our hospital and that patients and their families co-ordinate visiting schedules.  Visitors who are not close family member or friends are asked to refrain from visiting.  Instead we encourage you to show you care in other ways... send cards or letters, telephone the patient, or delay your visit until the patient goes home.

Before you visit, check with the patient's family or call the hospital to ensure that the patient is able to see you.  Except in special circumstances, we recommend that only close family members or close friends visit our patients.

Visit only if you are feeling well and wash your hands when you arrive at the hospital.

Be considerate of the needs of our patient.  Leave if the patient you are visiting is tired or if he or she needs special nursing care or treatment.  Be respectful of other patients, especially those who share the room where you are visiting.
