In the hospital we need to take extra care not to spread germs from one place or person to another. Hand washing is the single most important way to stop the spread of infection. Therefore, we ask that you wash your hands every time you enter the hospital and as necessary, during your visit. There are Waterless Hand wash Stations located throughout the hospital for your convenience. We have also attached instructions on 'How to Hand wash' - please click the "Hand" symbol below to review this information.
When visiting a patient, you may be asked to wear a mask, gown, and/or gloves, or visiting may be restricted while patients are isolated. These procedures are in place for your protection as well as our patients protection. Please inquire with nursing staff if you have any questions during your visit.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation with following these procedures during your visit to WLMH.
If you have any comments or questions about our hospital's Infection Prevention practices, please contact Mary Knapman, IPC Manager.
